Hey. Froggy has often eaten 4-5 big grasshoppers, but now he only max takes 3, but actually the last two times he were only taking 2, and won't have the third one... Is that normal? I guess he's not sick, because then he maybe wouldn't eat anything...
it is normal, when they reach adult size they tend to eat less comparing to growing frog. as long as he is eating it is all good.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
My adult female eats 1-2 nightcrawlers every other day and a silverside (fish) every two weeks or so, and she stays fat. Used to eat 3-4 crickets a day when she was little.
Nice! Then nothing there... I asked Grif for at little while about when they can eat a mouse, he says about 6 cm (don't blame him if it's wrong, I can't precisly remember), but the petstore says only when they are adults... I got him in the start of november last year...
(PS. they don't like we are watching them too much, don't they?)
Dont worry ,as mine has got older he eats less and only every 3rd day now, he is 10 months at least . They had no idea of his age in store and no idea how to treat him . I have had him coming on 5 months now and he is ace
I give a mouse every time i have leftovers from my snakes, if one of them refuse it, not very often lol, but i've never bought a mouse for any of my frogs specifically. i believe my male got his mouse ( pinky) when he was 2.5" or something like that, it is all about size of a prey in comparison to a frog. and after he got one you need to give him a break
