I really don't think it is froggy doo, I have cleaned up lots of that and have never seen any look like that in the water or out. I would rather wait and be sure than throw out a baby... just won't tell anyone I took care of it if it is just a perfect poo! LOL. It looks like the pictures of eggs but it seems to be missing that clear part that surrounds the egg. I did see frogs mating a week ago. Guess I'll keep an eye out for more of these mysterious round shape retaining poos/babies. Do they call only during mating season? Two of mine seem to call every night.

No, FBT call in and out, and males constantly mate any other toad of the species, regardless of gender. If it finds a male, or an unreceptive female, they make a trilling release call. Amplexus doesn't necessarily there will be babies, tho, because there must be certain temps and conditions. Mine do this all the time.

I saw that the frog in question WAS receptive because I saw the tail end (har har). If they choose to have children or not, I'm not going to worry about it. I am not actively trying to breed them or anything. I have already played mama to 13, tiny week-old orphaned hamsters when I was a kid, I don't really need to play mama to 250 frogs lol

I thought the only way to get them to breed was to cycle them?

These are my first FBT's and I've only had them about a month or less. I set them on my counter (open kitchen) at first, where it is cooler. I moved them in my room which is a good deal warmer. They are really active and calling like crazy which makes me laugh cause one sounds like a chihuahua with duct tape on it's mouth and the other one sounds like a girl moaning lol. Between them and my hermit crabs, one of which chirps if another crab so much as looks at it, my room is quite noisy at night.

As for this egg-looking thing...there were two more in the water this morning. It's froggy poo. Lol I get the freak frog who lays egg poo so I can look silly by posting it online........did I mention I'm blonde?
