I like my dubias so much I bought myself some pet hissing roaches. The guy who owns a shop around here made me an offer to take 4 of his last ones off his hand and I couldn't say no. Ive thinking about building a viv for them in large critter keeper. No adults yet and unsure of their sexes, but when they are breeding g size I'm hoping for some babies to feed to the phibs and maybe hold a couple back to increase my population a little.
this is them in a little plastic egg hunt for stick em in when cleaning out their keeper.
this is how they are set up in their little critter keeper right now. Just a little eco earth for substrate. Piece of cork bark and a food/water dish.
I caught this one just finishing a molt and was able to snag a perfect empty shell before she decided to eat it
And just a random pic of my biggest one on my thumb
I'm done rambling on for now:beer:

i was sad when i had to give mine up.
i had a breeding bin as well as a show viv for some. there's a thread around here somewhere on it. the easiest way to sex them is males have larger protrusions on their heads. they look more like horns compared to the females. also, i believe the antennae are longer one on than the other. i just forget which has the longer antennae.
