I got my new WTF into his permanent enclosure two days ago (vertical 20 gallon-long), and it has coco-fiber on the bottom, with hanging vines and sturdy fake-flower stems as well as some great-stuff foam (covered in silicone and coco-fiber) for him to climb on.

Thing is, he spends most of the day sitting in the coco-fiber on the bottom. At night, I'll find him climbing around on the glass. I'm not sure if he's eaten yet, but I saw him lunge/miss at a cricket the other day, and there are a couple that were MIA, but they may just be burrowing.
Is sitting on the bottom like that during the day normal though?

Could it be a humidity issue? Tomorrow I will cover 2/3 of the front screen with cling wrap to help keep the moisture in better (he gets thoroughly misted several times a day, but the ambient humidity drops off pretty quickly) and see if that helps...
