You are going to have to play it by ear and be prepared to separate them if you have to.

Not a problem worst that happens is I have to put in a divider.
Can you possible leave the five gallon up for a while? Put your two or three adf's in the 10 gallon wait for them to settle in. At least a week if not longer? Then ad the betta to their tank. It might help with any aggression I have also netted aggressive fish for 24 then add them back to the tank. (I have oscars so I have some really large nets)So you could try that with a large net or a guppy net? Also you can use media from the 5 gallon to seed the 10 gallon. Should be very little cycling to do if any at all.
OH and don't forget your hiding places and live plants.
Sounds like your off to a good start.
And don't forget those pictures.
Good luck
No I only have room for one or the other but EVERYTHING ( filter , gravel, Hides, Plants) will be moved over and I wont add anything else for a little while so everything should be fineBesides a small mini cycle everything should be fine ... I shouldn't need to seed an already fully cycled tank.
Luckily I got a 50 watt heater and 10 lbs of gravel so nothing needs upgradedwell ... I do need more plants.
This is my tank currently.

Hi,
is this a long-finned Betta? I´ve tried this combination some time ago in a 14 gal. The Betta was a quite peaceful guy, but still tried to bite the frogs occasionally; the frogs themselves turned out to be nasty fin-nippers, so it wasn´t the best choice for both sides. I had to seperate them soon and won´t keep frogs with any fish again.
He is a delta Tail so moderate fins but he gets around very well.
Making a tank divider is very easy so I think I can make one if things go wrong.
Tank looks nice. Little more gravel then I care for even in my planted tanks. But still looks great and love the shape.
Sounds like a good plan if things go wrong.
Good luck
Its more gravel than I wanted too but hey ... Its going to go in a 10 gallon so it should be the perfect amount for the slightly larger floor spaceI am going to miss having this tank up and running. But a bigger tank is best.
Oh ya that well be perfect for new tank. And I agree bigger in this case is a lot better.
