ADF in Betta tank?

So I have been doing a lot of thinking and I want 2 ADF ( and have for a while) But I would like to avoid setting up another tank ...


I plugged in all my information on aqadvisor and its saying its fine ( I will post the link)


But I wanted a little more advice ( the height on the tank is a little off since its a panaview I had to adjust the numbers but the length and depth are accurate. )


Finn has proven himself to be a very peaceful fish, He currently lives with a mystery snail (Jake) and doesn't bother him one bit.
I feed them both at the same time and he doesn't even mess with Jake's food as long as I am also feeding him.

I keep the tank at 80 degrees, Low flow filter any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Also where would you purchase ADF?

What size tank? You need at least a five just for the two you have. So unless you have bigger then that you shouldn't add adf's. I use to keep mine with my betta. But they were in the tank first and he was added at a very young age. I have heard some people say it works and some say it don't.
Mostly in your case size of tank is important and being able to set up another tank in case things don't work out.
I got my adf's from the pet shop.

I have a 5 gallon but it is NOT standard dimensions. Please look at the link.

Actually the two I have with proper filtration could have as little as a 2.5 gallon but I refuse to go smaller than a 5 gallon ...

I still would not ad the frogs. That is still my option.

well I just realized ... I am about to have an empty 10 gallon so I will upgrade and then get the ADF No reason not to upgrade ... Its easier to store a 5 gallon

So in a 10 gallon that would be fine correct?

Also everything would be moved over so at most I would experience a mini cycle.

I have kept them together in the past. Some bettas are cool with it and some are real duces. Don't assume the the betta will regard the frogs and a snail the same. Snails are basically no different than a nice pretty rock to a fish like that.
I personally will never keep anything with my ADF's again. They do best on their own for so many reasons. However there is always more than one school of thought and I am not all knowing.
By the way those calculators aren't the best resource out there and by no means are they better than good ol experience.

aqadvisor is a very good general resource to give you a basic idea. But I also asked for a reason

Is there a way to check how he would react before I introduce the ADF? I dont want to risk infecting him by introducing fish.

You are going to have to play it by ear and be prepared to separate them if you have to.
