Cricket Size Concern... Need Opinions

So I ran out of crickets and didn't make it to the store yet. I have some large crickets left over, but no small ones.

I have some White's froglets, and I put a large cricket in with them. One froglet had a go, but backed off, cause it was too big. Another one (similar size) managed to chomp it down, but I had to yank its legs off while it was in his mouth. Ultimately, the froglet got it down, and is still breathing and able to hop around.

This was pretty stupid in retrospect, but I had good intentions

My question is this:
Is there a risk of him not being able to digest/pass it?

My thinking and hope: If the little froglet had come across the big cricket in the wild, he would have gone for it, and caught it.

I would keep a close eye on him. My worry would be it scratching the mouth/throat of the frog and causing infection? I may be way off on that.
I never feed my gecko or my FBT's anything larger then the space between their eyes. Just cause I was told not too. Never was told what it might do if you did.

OK, I think all is well. I checked on the froglet periodically through the night, and it is up and about now, hopping and everything.

No idea about the stretching part, but I will continue watching. The best way I can describe the frog after eating the thing: massive food coma!

There is a risk of impaction but I would just keep an eye on him. I wouldn't feed him again until he poops. Gross as this sounds maybe next time you're in a pinch you can cut it in half and tong feed it to him.

the risk of impaction is there but it is not a big risk. You have to understand many frogs are by nature designed to eat prey of such sizes. The largest problem you face by feeding a small frog such big prey is the insect starting to rot in the frogs stomach before it can digest it, producing deadly bacteria that will cause the build up of gasses. The sign is that they will bloat. you can tell the difference between a frog with a full tummy and bloating. This is also common in snakes as well. not only will large prey cause this but as well as feeding them to much smaller prey. Unfortunately this has happened to one of my frogs a few years back and it is a lesson well learned.
