This is my first post to this forum, let me introduce myself. My name is Gonzalo Castillo, 17 and i live in the Dominican Republic. i just collected some tadpoles from a little pond in a botanic park in the city. i placed them into a fish tank (without fish) and i'd like some help. i've been reading about food for tadpoles and the most popular one is boiled lettuce, i placed an air pump into the tank for oxygen. tadpoles swim around normally but i dont see them having a frenzy on the lettuce. is that normal? instead i see them eating from the walls of the tank and a fake plant i havein the tank. also i would like to know how to see the difference between frog tadpoles and toad tadpoles.
You can crumble up fish flakes to feed them, and do frequent partial water changes if the water isn't filtered
