Does anyone know of keepers that keep their african bullfrogs outdoors? I assume it would have to be in the southern most part of the US? Thanks
Ill be putting mine in a screened off hard plastic kids pool for a month this summer. Can't wait
it should be fine so long as the required temps and humidity are met. And safe from predators and parasites somehow entering via fly's, mosquitoes etc. also remember if you roll up your windows on your car it can get to extreme temps this same thing can happen in your tank these guys can handle high temps but to much can also kill them.
I live in KY and kept mine outside all of last summer in a 110 gallon plastic cattle tank with no lid. It did great...KY is notoriously humid in the summer with average daytime temps in the 80's. Yours should do just fine as long as it can't escape or be bothered by coons, cats and the like.
I would like too but I think I would be told off by the local authority...they are annoying about any animals which could cause havoc to the wild life here.
They have a rule, no snakes, lizards, or anything amphibian over 2kgs...basically the ABF only JUST scrapes in within their laws.
Not even meant to have Giant African snails really as they are a menace in the wild.
Andalucia has stupid laws written by people who have no idea about what is dangerous and what is not.
We all have to hide our pets away basically and not advertise what we own, I don´t let the villagers know what I have kept or owned, they would run and tell
the council offices.
But I would like to let them in the garden enclosurecertainly gets hot enough for them in the day and night.
