j agree with all the plants beatber listed except one. ficus elastica will out grow most vivs rather quickly. there's a reason they are called a rubber treeunless you want to do a LOT of trimming, I would stock with ficus pumila as the primary ficus used in five. it stays small and controllable, unlike most plants in the ficus family.
don't over look diffenbachia as a nice specimen. it does grow large, but slower than the ficus family.
