    While grif's info is accurate (always is), it should be noted however, that not all dechlorinators contain chelates that bind heavy metals. So reading the labels is crucial if using well water. I do apologize for giving incorrect info. Been a very stressful weekend

    Bill is also correct. Not all dechlorinators remove heavy metals. Always read the labels carefully.

    Because I have well water, I am happy to learn more about all of this stuff. I have unfortunately lost 2 frogs (one white's and one red-eye) in the last year and a half, so I'm a bit paranoid, to say the least...
    It's good to know that when choosing a water treatment, one must carefully read the label. Thank you for reinforcing that imprtant point.
