This is my first time on the frog forum, so i apologize in advance for any mistakes i make. I just got my first whites tree frog yesterday, from petco. She is in a 10 gallon tank, with coconut fiber substrate, 2 live plants, many fake plants, and a log hide. She also has a big water bowl. The temps are about 81 degrees in the day, and about 70 at night. I tried feeding her crickets, but she was obviously not interested in them, and made no attempt to eat them. I tried the same thing today, with no luck again. I know its his first week, so i'm not all that worried. However, I would like to know if this is normal, and if I could improve his care and habitat in any way. Also, I would like to know when I should start to worry about her not eating. Thank you very much.

Hi Charley,
I see your questions have already been answered
May I add:
Provide a day/ night light cycle- feed the frogs just before the lights go out.
You might cover three sides of the tank- it will help the frog feel more secure.
Try not to handle the frog unless absolutely necessary.
Remember to use:
de-chlorinated water in the soaking dish and to dust the crickets with a good Calcium and Vit supplement.

Enjoy your new frog and Welcome to Frog Forum
