Hi all,
I was thimking of using a 50 land / 50 water sponge setup for my pyxie frog - people do this for pacmans and I dont see why they cant be done for african bullfrogs (except the frog can't burrow).
In other words, the whole tank would have water but a sponge on 50% of the tank for the frog to keep dry. Sponge material would be simple pond filter material.
I think the advantages are - easy water change, no impaction risk, hygeinic.
Disadvantage is that frong can't burrow - which isn't a problem if the frog doesn't get stressed out right?
Anyone has any other significant disadvantages to point out?
Thanks all for your feedback!!
