Exclamation Please Help! Rococo Toad in need...

I have a Rococo Toad age 5 maybe 6 who recently shed his skin, he has done this before without issue. A few days later he has what looks like abrasions / irritation behind his eyes, bloody to oozy discharge. I have been treating with Neosporin to prevent infection x2 days. What else is there I can do to help my lil guy out? I can try to post pictures if it would be helpful. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Heather,
Thank you. I don't believe the enclosure is the issue, I have a healthcare background (with humans) I believe it may be some sort of skin condition. the abrasions are flesh like in color, as if a child skins their knee...they appeared a day or two after shedding his winter skin. I will go ahead and answer the question if you think it will help. Thank you for getting back to me, and any help will be greatly appreciated.

    1. Size of enclosure? 15gal.

    2. # of inhabitants - specifically other frogs and size differences? 1

    3. Humidity? Relative to household 50-60%

    4. Temperature? Relative to household 65-70 degrees

    5. Water - type - for both misting and soaking dish? Spring /filtered

    6. Materials used for substrate? All natural bedding mulch no additive no preservatives, no dyes or chemicals

    7. Enclosure set up i.e. plants (live or artificial), wood, bark and other materials. - How were things prepared prior to being put into the viv? open area of mulch soaking bowl in corner, large enough for him to lay in.

    8. Main food source? Crickets

    9. Vitamins and calcium? (how often?) every 2nd or 3rd feeding

    10. Lighting? Rococo's don't like basking lights so regular household lighting?

    11. What is being used to maintain the temperature of the enclosure? n/a

    12. When is the last time he/she ate? Fed 5 days ago he eats most of the crickets within a few hours, and lets a couple think they are safe for a while...He gets fed weekly to a week and a half apart depending on his eating habits

    13. Have you found poop lately? yes

    14. A pic would be helpful including frog and enclosure (any including cell phone pic is fine)

    15. How old is the frog? 6yrs

    16. How long have you owned him/her? 5yrs

    17. Is the frog wild caught or captive bred? Captive bred

    18. Frog food- how often and if it is diverse, what other feeders are used as treats? See #12

    19. How often the frog is handled? Occasionally

    20. Is the enclosure kept in a high or low traffic area? Medium, in the Living Room, outside of the kitchen, by the entrance to the Bedroom

    21. Describe enclosure maintenance (water changes, cleaning, etc) Weekly to e/o depending on condition of the tank, water every few days

This picture was taken today, note the area behind both eyes? There are also bilateral spots by his hind legs.

It looks like he was rubbing on something to scratch or pull off the skin? I would give him a gentle soak or rinse to get any debris or dead skin off and apply original (not with pain reliever -it is toxic to them) neosporin to the wounds. Take the bedding out until he heals and use only paper towels as substrate. Change daily. I would recommend contacting a vet. Ideally he will need silversulfadiazene cream to the areas and perhaps a systemic antibiotic. The neosporin will protect it until you can reach a vet. You can apply it daily or 2x/day.

Could he have been trying to sneak out of his cage? Pushing up on screen lid?

Is it ok to ask you what part of health care you work in? A few of us here are nurses . Always nice to have around some more health care friends.
