Almost all of my amphibians, my Green frog, my Chorus frogs, even my long toed salamanders, will not hunt at day, my juvenile bullfrog being the exception and even she will only rarely hunt during the daytime. My salamanders remain in their burrows, my bullfrog and green frog rest in cover, and my Chorus frogs rest on the leaves or ground, hidden from view.

However, nighttime is like a whole different world. My green frog is usually swimming around in the evening, hunting crickets, as is my bullfrog, and my salamanders poke their heads out of their burrows, and then crawl up to sit in the water dish before hunting small crickets. Around 10:00 PM, my Chorus frogs will begin wandering around their tank, and will do it occasionally until 3:00 AM. It is then they really live up to the Chorus part of their name. It's great to hear, except if you are trying to get some sleep!
