iv got some pete moss and was just wondering if I can use it for my chubby frog or should I just use it for something else any advice would be aprisiated

you can put chubby frogs on peat moss but there can be an
imaction risk, you can feed him in a separate enclosure or you
can tong feed him, otherwords yes

Although Bombina Bob is right, I think it's best you don't take the risk. Impaction in frogs is not something you want to experience, and although I've yet to experience it, I've heard plenty about it.
Coconut fiber is safe, and good for burrowing. I use it for both my Pacific Chorus frog and Long Toed Salamanders tanks, so I'm certain it will fit your chubby frog.
