Hey, so at first I did have trouble with my frog and his/her eating.
After eating 3 small/medium crickets in the past 4 days my frog finally ate 6 today. He or she isn't too young but still a baby.
Probably 2 inches at the moment.
Is there a set number of crickets that I shouldn't feed or should I just keep feeding until he or she no longer accepts.
Couldn't find anything useful on the internet so I came here.
Thanks alot.![]()
that is how we all came here
feed using 15 min rule - give as many as s/he can eat in 15 min every day while a baby. dust them with Ca/vit3 supplement every second feeding and once a week multivitamins.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
15 min rule, as much as a frog can eat in 15 mins! gotta love it
Thanks, very helpful advice. I just realized the 6 crickets I fed had white fuzzy mold on their food. Probably there for 1-3 days max. If the crickets had eaten some mold and then been fed to my baby pacman could that be dangerous and deadly for the frog?
why is ther mold on the crickets food>? dont you know what gos in comes out>? if you feed **** food youll get a **** animal. sorry i hade to put it that way but its true! you need to look up helth and care of crickets and start feeding your crickets healthy foods look into (GUT LOADING)
get rid of moldy food, give them fresh one, the proper gut loading one, it doesn't mold, or at least it never did for me. don't worry if it is dangerous to the baby, just don't do it, healthy food = healthy animal, thus good food=good cricket and good cricket= happy frog , happy frog = happy owner, this way healthy cricket food = happy you![]()

I didn't do it on purpose. When I checked the food two days ago i didn't have mold. I do gutload my crickets with carrot, oats and calcium sprinkled dog food. I know how to take care of them as well. I hadn't checked in two days so I'm assuming it grew in between. I didn't know the mold was there. I threw the mold out right away. Thanks for the advice anyways, means alot.
