Hey guys! I'm in the middle of cleaning my tank, and I found mold growing on the branches and things I put in my frog tank. My frogs are native Pacific Tree Frogs (Pacific Chorus Frogs) and so after I soaked my logs in boiling hot water to remove any parasites or bad things, I thought it would be ok to put them in my frog cage. But then I've taken them out and there are some spots where I see mold! lol. Maybe I should have let the sticks dry completely first before putting them in the tank... or is the tank too moist? Am I always going to have this problem with actual wood? I don't want to use the fake plastic kind. I want the best for my frogs. lol.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
