    Default Modified Walgreens Humidifier

I was in the market looking for a humidifier / fogger for my Red-Eyed Leaf Frog's that will come in on Tuesday, at first I was set on buying Zoo Med Reptile Fogger. However, after being inspired by a few youtube videos I decided to modify a Walgreens ultra sonic humidifier, in my opinion makes the Zoo Med Reptile Fogger inferior. I'm glad I made it so both my Red-Eyed Tree Frog's and daughter can enjoy the use of it. Btw it cost me around 50 dollars to complete this project.

The only question I have is "How often should I use the fogger in my Red-Eyed Tree Frog's habitat?"

Sorry for the bad pics I don't know how to rotate them.

How often depends on your humidity. Make sure you have a ... drat cannot recall the name... the thing that measures humidity (lol blonde moment) on the back wall of your tank and spend a day watching it to see when you should run the fogger. We all have different measures because of the climates we live in, so there is no one right answer.

Well done on the ingeniousness, btw.

I have a hygromometer, just really paranoid about maintaining everything properly. It'll be the first pair of retf's that will be in my care. I'll spend a day messing around with it to figure out how often I need to use it.

    Thanks for the response.

HA! I was just talking about doing that same exact thing! The hole is perfect for the hose. Let us know how it works out.

I just hollowed out the removable adapter and forced a 1" vinyl clear tubing in the adapter. I'll mess with it tomorrow and post picture of it in action.

It's working out great, i have it hooked up to a hygrotherm which keeps it at 70% - 80% day and night. I put a gallon of water at a time and it last over a week.
