Hello! Just picked up a baby Pixie, Sherman. Had a Pixie before, Styx, he was VERY large. Loved him a lot. But, we had a tragic loss in the family and in grief, I felt I was not able to give all my critters what they needed. I rehomed Styx and my Pacman to a great home, as well as my tank of ACF to another good home. Most of all, I ended up regretting giving up Styx. So, yesterday I picked up little Sherman. I believe he was too dry at the store and is trying to aestivate. I am keeping him misted to try and get him to wake up, is this o.k.? How long should it take? He seems to be of good weight, so I hope he is not sick instead. Of course, when I gave up my other frogs, all their supplies went with them, so had to get all the goodies. Couldn't remember about lighting for frogs, so went w/a 60 watt blue uv bulb. I did have the tank, a Reptarium (had spent some time as a hamster cage, thoroughly cleaned and now ticked off hamster moved to a plain ol' cage), which had a UTH on it. He is spending his time on the mat, under the light (off at night), should I move him? I did the coco peat and moss, but now not sure about the moss, he is so little! Just trying to get back in the swing of things. Would really like him to "wake up" and eat, so I know he's o.k.
Thanks. This morning he had moved and has been in his water bowl for some time now.
