The Association of Zoos and Aquariums has an interesting and pretty comprehensive guide on amphibian husbandry that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. It is aimed at Zoos, but I think it contains heaps of information that is handy to the hobbyist including information on housing, quarantine procedures, nutrition (including raising several varieties of feeders), and breeding. Interestingly, they list Caudata.org as a source for more information on salamanders, so props to John on that.
I haven't come anywhere near reading it all yet, but it looks like it's worth having. It can be found here as a pdf:
