    Default My 8 critters.

As of May 2011, I had no pets. Since then, I have acquired 8 of them. Got 3 living in my bedroom and 5 in the kitchen.

In the order of the photos, you'll see:

Butterscotch (male guinea pig, very vocal, funny and fiesty.)
Moo (male guinea pig, lost an eye to a hay poke, my most easy-going and biggest pig)
Gizmo (male guinea pig, very shy and small, housed by himself because the others bully him)
Gwen (female American toad, fearless, will eat out of my hand)
    Hicks (male leopard gecko)
    Ripley (female leopard gecko)
Tictac (male robo dwarf hamster, adopted because he had a gimpy leg from a fight)
Hackeysack (male robo dwarf hamster, adopted because he had been in a fight and has a scar on his right cheek.)

Nice pictures. I love your guinea pigs. I used to have several of them of various breeds for about 5 years, even showed 3 of my in a cavy show once. All the dust and mess their bedding and hay created got to me, though, and I rehomed them a couple of years ago.

Also nice to see 2 male robo hamsters together ... do they fight at all? When I tried keeping them together they wanted to kill each other.

A lot of people use fleece these days to get around the bedding mess, but I would have to spend a small fortune on laundry to do that, so I just use aspen shavings. A little of it gets on the floor but 99% of it stays in their homes, the way I have put plexiglass around them.

The Robos lived together for a couple of months without incident, and then one morning I found Tictac with blood on his fur, and have housed them separately ever since. I thought it would work if I gave them enough space, but they still fought.
