Welcome to the site Kelli and good luck with your frogs.
Hi everyone, my names Kelli. I dont have any frogs yet but i will soon be turning my 40gal. hex in to a home for a few white tree frogs. I can't wait to get started, i've found this site very helpful. Thank you![]()

Welcome aboard. You're going to encounter a problem using a hex tank for a treefrog. No one makes a screen top for a hex aquarium of any size and treefrogs require good ventilation. You will have to make your own. Good luck with that.
Since you're in Plymouth you should come by the New England Wildlife Center in South Weymouth for the New England Herpetological Society's next meeting on the 14th. For more details see - http://www.neherp.com.
Also the NEWC does have second-hand caging and other equipment for sale. You may find something that may be easier to work with, for a very good price.
Hopefully, I will see you there.
Thanks guys.
Kurt- I currently have no top for my tank ( i dropped it...on tile) so I was hoping to make one. Other then the lid issue is there any other problem with a hex tank for tree frogs?
You may just see me at one of those meetings in the next few months if i can get a free sunday from work. Thank you for the invite and the link i really want to check it out.
Please come down and see us soon. We would love to have you. In June I scheduled to do a presentation on breeding Agalychnis callidryas.
