Hi i got a pac man frog in my room, i do a lot of boxing in my room as well so i kinda get a boxing/sweat/jungle kinda smell going on i was wandering would it be safe to have an air fresher plug in or not. It would not be near too it. Would this be okay?
Thanks Alex
Though granted, I'm very new to this, I'd air on the side of caution if I were you. Crack a window and use fans to get any funky smells out until someone comes along who can answer this question with experience. Air fresheners are just a **** ton of chemicals, and frogs being the absorbent creatures that they are probably shouldn't be exposed to them. It's for that reason that I haven't used any of my candles in my room since I adopted my frogs. Hopefully someone drops by soon who can say with conviction whether air fresheners or candles are ok in the same room as a frog. But for now, airing on the side of caution is best.
it is also very important to note, paint fumes are very deadly to frogs
I would think the plugin style would be much better then any spray or candle type. I don't use any in my frogroom. I would highly recommend finding a reasonably priced home air purification unit and running that. They normally have some sort of carbon filter as well to remove oder another suggestion would be an ozone generator. They can normally be purchased quite reasonably. This will also create much more of a rainforest atmosphere and smell. I have used both but currently have a nice air purification unit and it works great. I keep it close to my fruit fly shelf and I have to get my nose right to a lid just to faintly smell anything.
