So my bigger Green Tree Frog Verde has been hiding where my little guys have been finding themselves comfy during the day, however he was pretty much immersed under the leaves all day, as if he was hiding for safety. It also kind of looked like he was bloated alittle, but I think it may be my imagination. Tonight he has come down after spending today hiding for the first time (they hide, but not quite like that so it was concerning), and he is sitting on the side of the water dish slightly soaking, having what looked like slight spasms, kind of as if he was stretching his skin for shedding. He's also been heartily calling the past days, so I think he's still contented. I'm hoping that it's just shedding and me not being familiar with the process, so can anyone confirm this/provide alternative reasons? Thank you very much for the help.
Just going to post some photos I've taken that I feel he's looked slightly bloated in.
First time I thought something looked kind of off.
Frog call (is a frog call a good sign for a health indication btw?)
Verde in that position I mentioned, where he was doing the minor convulsions.
He doesn't look too bloated in that photo if he actually is, but it was the spasms that concern me. I didn't see him opening and closing his mouth/swallowing when he was doing it, so I really don't know if that's what's wrong. Again, thanks for the feedback.
Verde is looking fine this morning, so maybe it was just him puffing up in preparation of a shedding after all.
