Today was suppose to be an exciting day for me but what I received was not what I expected. 1. D.O.A and another with an amputated right hand. I called the vendor and left e-mails containing photos. Hopefully I get full replacement on my order.
I feel sorry for the little guys.

that is just horrible, so sorry you are going through thisi hope the survived guy will pull through.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
So I've contacted the company that I got it from and this is what I got.

Hello, I just received my red eyed tree frogs from FedEx and I'm sad to say that I have 1 D.O.A and 1 frog with an amputated right hand. I did not expect to see this when I opened the box. Can you please call me, so that we can make arrangements for a replacement of my order.
Chris
that is good enough reason NOT to deal with those guys. this thread belongs to testimonials forum for everyone to read. although they act according to their policies, those are such that I don't think anyone should deal with them, ever. thank you for posting, i hope it will be useful for a lot of people.
what they basically are saying that they can send you a dead already frog and you can't complain, because there is zero guarantee.
excellent way to do a business(((( very mad.....
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Oh my goodness! This is heart breaking!I'm so sorry! That is ridiculous!!!!

Ill give you one of my tree frogs when they mature...right now they are tadpoles... all you would do is pay for shipping.... I will only give you one if heather and the other RETF enthusiasts think it would be ok for me to ship one of my froglets.... Im so mad at that company..they have no care for their animals... GRRR
Thank you everyone for your support.

Heather... i was actually going to wait until the little guys were on small crickets... that way i can ship a few crickets with the froggy.... maybe? I honestly would rather hand deliver the little guy.... I think the pressure difference from flying killed her frog... but who knows.....

This really made me sick to my stomach. After receiving that email, I would've then responded to see if the warranty covers missing limbs, as there's no way that would've happened in shipping. I really hope he pulls through![]()
I am not sure either. Florida is less cold than the central states. It could have been anything from temperature changes to altitude. She does look as if she was healthy before the shipping, though it is hard to say. This is a tough time of year for shipping with the weather.
That would be a good time for the delivery of the frog (when eating crickets).
