Welcome to the forum!
I have had a purely academic interest in frogs thus far. I have radio tracked Chiricahua Leopard frogs for years. I finally broke down and purchased a Pyx as my first frog. I have a couple of tarantulas and a number of herps. I have been reading through the Pyx forum and there is a ton of useful information. So far I am very impressed. I have a couple breeding pairs of B. alvaris as well as a number of other bufo sp. and spadefoots (mostly couch's although I have seen bombifrons) in a pond beside my house. I do love those spea/scaphiopus. Anyway thank you all for having a very informative site to help the novice keeper.

Hello and welcome![]()
~ Australian frogs Gotta love them
Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the Frog Forum
I've been reading a lot about the Chiricahua Leopard frogs myself for a while now, and how they're doing in recovering. I'm hoping the recently-discovered cure for Chytrid may be able to aid them in recovering from their population decline.
My Amphibians:
1.0.0 Rana Catesbiana (Bumpy Digtoad )
1.0.0 Pseudacris Regilla (Levi )
1.1.0 Ambystoma Macrodactylum (Urtham and Gargan )
2.2.0 Bombina Orientalis ( Rosa, Sasha, Aleksis, and Dimitri )
Rest in Peace, Gnag the Nameless, Chrome, and Thermidor
Hi Nathan:
Welcome to Frog ForumHave you published any of your field work with the Chiricahua leopard frogs? Would be interesting to read. Do you happen to know Dr. James Platz? He has done a lot of work on the Ramsey Canyon leopard frog (L. subaquavocalis)? I met him a few years back at an amphibian conservation workshop in Omaha.
