I read some posts that worms can fed as a staple and are better than crickets? Also what kind of worms i was looking online they have small red wigglers that get no more than like 4 inches and a cousin type of them that are much bigger can u use both at appropriate size?
Worms are a great staple. Canadian nightcrawlers are the best. The red wigglers you are looking at produce a unpleasing slime coat that the frogs do not like however they are not toxic. I breed my own European nightcrawelers which are a medium size worm, my frogs generally like them but they are said to produce this displeasing slime also. Remember to dust your worms with calcium every day and multi vitamin once a week. They are a great staple but try to add in some other things as well they get tired of worms all the time.
Super Red Worms are basically the same thing, right? Are you growing your own? how many did you start with how big of a tub are u running them in?
I dont know what super red worms are but they are probably european night crawlers, The size of the tub but i would say its 50 gallons, The tub should be dark on all sides. I started with 100 worms. I suggest you do more research on starting a worm bin if this i what you really want. A worm bin is relatively easy to take care of but it takes quite a few things to start up.
