that is absolutely adorable C. Cranwelli! who is sitting on moss that you need to take out before he ate it and got impacted
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

oh, he or she was sold to me as fantasy horned frog or is that just another name as their isn't much info on the basic needs of this specific kind so I asomed it was all the same basic care and feeding just diff temps and size which I have found oout yes I have removed the moss
he or she is sooo small and I've never had a horned frog at the size

    thanks frogmadmeg

fantasy is a hybrid, mostly it is a cross between cornuta and cranwelli, they look like cornuta but not quite. yours is cranwelli. same care requirements as ornata that you have based on signature

thats quite confusing so the mum and dad of mine would have been a cornuta and cranwelli? And that made a albino fantasy?

because it is albino for one

I'm just wondering.... when labels are wrong it is less expensive frog being mislabeled as more expensive, it is so common that I'm starting to think if it is really because they don't know the difference.....

Heather, the more pics the better, please post when you can

I may be wrong, but there aren't any albino fantasies are there? Don't remember where I heard that...

lol. Yeah, pet stores never sell them as the correct species. My cranwelli was sold as an ornate.

Very cute frog you have there . S/he is definitely a cranwelli. A very nice one.

It's true, pet stores very often mislabel them, sometimes to our advantage. Fantasy frogs are a mix of a cornuta and a cranwelli, as mentioned. They are neat frogs too. They are, however, sterile and cannot produce viable offspring. The females coloring tend to fade some. I have two fantasies, a male and a female. They have higher peaked horns and the common pattern on their backs.

I'll take some pictures if you'd like, but they are currently happily sleeping under their substrate .
