Help please

Hi all, I have about an eight-twelve week old ornate....I think. Long story short...nephew, 17 was over thought he was being cute....three days ago, aparrently he fed my little laeggy a ball of ground beef! I cant believe it!!! I only know what happened because there is a small ball on laeggys left side as youre looking down at the back of him facing forward. I only fed laeggy organic hand raised earthworms. Cage specs: 10 gallon tank covered with construction paper and foil . Ecoearth two 1/2 inches on top and reptobark on bottom about an inch...two water dishes and one purple 75watt heat bulb. He gets bottled water to soak in and is misted with it as many times as it takes to keep the humidity about 80%. Warm side temps generally stay about 85f...cool side 77f or so. Is there anything I can do to either get him to throw it up or pass it? my other pacman died from a blockage just like this one, but it was fish bones and my fault. Please help if you can... I dont want laeggy to die.

U might have to let it pass. If it doesnt poop in the next couple of days soak in warm water. And if that dont work just add a little honey in his bathwater.

Thank you...should I move him to a recovery tank? He poops in the substrate so occasionally I dont even find it. I cant think common sense right now...

Don't worry too much. Impaction is one of the most common issues with pacs. No need to move him to another tank or anything. Honestly, unless the impaction is caused from a foreign body (like moss or bark or something that isn't digestible) as long as you catch it early, I seriously doubt it will be fatal.
Try not to let the bad experience with fish bones make you paranoid. Heck, just hearing 'bones' makes me think accidental perforation rather than impaction.

There is nothing in the beef that should cause him to just keel over that I'm aware of. Basically, same content that's in pinkies, except higher in fat. Just keep an eye on him and do the soaks like mentioned already.
If he needs to go, you should feel a lump on his right side; if he's already gone, you shouldn't. That's a pretty good indicator if you think he may have buried his poo without you knowing.

Try and relax about it, and keep us updated on him. (also, just out of curiosity, what other frogs do you own? Can't help but notice that the one in the profile pic isn't a pac)

agree with DV, not a big deal, piece of beef and grounded one at that, i bet your frog was very happy lol a mice is more difficult to digest then that. just forget about it

I see bigger problem that you have reptibark as a substrate covered with eco earth, of course if eco earth is 2,5" deep it should be a big deal for a small frog unless he decided to dig deeper and reaches bark, and then you might have a problem and that will happen with a bigger frog, ornates grow very fast. you need to change the substrate to plain eco earth.
