    Default Cricket question

I'd like to keep crickets in our basement but during the winter it can get down to 50 degrees. Is that to extreme or would that be OK?

    Thanks

It might be okay. I just read that crickets prefer it to be warmer but would be okay over 45 degrees. I keep mine in my basement and it's about 62 degrees and they are very active for weeks.

If you are worried about the temps you can do what I did. I keep mine in a plastic bin in my basement and I bought a Zoo Med Hermit crab UTH. I went with this cause it does not get as hot as other UTHs because it is designed to be used with plastic critter keepers.

Thanks. For $12 I went with the Hermit Crab Heater. At 4 watts, it should be just enough to keep my mind at ease.

Yep, $12 for the peace of mind is worth it! Hope it works as good for you as it does for me.
