I have a White's tree frog that I adopted from Petco in August and he was very sickly and took him to the vet multiple times. He has been healthy for the past 5 months, however, has not eaten any crickets for approximately 1 week. He doens't look ill and has been acting normal except for no appetite. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions?
Thanks
My Grey Tree Frog had the same problem but he wasn't sick. He is 6 months old, had him since an egg. Well he was refusing to eat so I tried to feed him crickets but he wouldn't eat them. So I got flies and held the fly by its wing and it started buzzing and got my frog excired so he started to eat and he would ONLY eat flies for 2 weeks before I could get him to eat crickets. So try mixing up kinds of food you feed him. FYI- Flies are my frogs favorite so when I get them they are a treat for him. Hate growing maggots eeww but he enjoys them.
MAGGOTS! EWW! I thought cricket larva was bad...haha
yeah ewww I went to a fishing store and got maggots and kept them in my breezeway with rotton food. so gross but my frog is like a little kid in a candy store. Gets super excited over flies.
Thats dedication/love![]()
