It's not a good idea to let your frog sit on a laptap or any surface outside his enclosure. They're very sensitive to chemicals and other stuff on surfaces.
Agreed, if you do remove the frog from the enclosure, never let it "run around and play" on your carpet, floor, desk, etc. It will either get hurt, poisoned, escape, or hide, the latter two of which increase the probability of the first two.

Well when I do let him out he chills on top of my laptop and sits there croacking to ther frogs on youtube. When I do clean his cage I put him in a jar with a lid with holes. Also my frog doesn't hid from me, he comes when called. I say Tubby and he come hopping over.
I will say it again- letting your frog sit on any surface outside his enclosure or on anything other than substrate or white paper towels is a recipe for disaster or poisoning.
