Good choice ! Welcome to frog forum! Dee is absolutely correct. Read read read. I too was and still kinda am a newbie to retf. Actually newbie to frogs. But I did alot of research before deciding on them and before getting them. Check out my profile and check out the threads I've started. Lots of great info on those threads. Let's start by you telling us about your enclosure. Maybe post a pic and the local Retf keepers can add their 2 cents if you like. This forum of full of wonderful people who are willing to share their VAST knowledge about this wonderful hobby! Hope this helps.

    Welcome to the forum .

I love red eyes! I have 7 myself. They are right, preparation is key. They really need to have their husbandry right on. That will keep them happy and healthy . Being tree frogs, they like a tall tank with nice leaves to climb across on top.

Have you read the care sheet here?

    Thanks! Heather

I started this frog thing thinking I wanted red eyes but once I read up on the husbandry I switched to White's Tree Frogs. I decided that with me being a first time frogger I wanted a heartier frog. It was reading here that made me realize which ones were "me".
