Usually that's nothing to worry about. Trevor does it when she's mad at me for something. If it happens a lot though it can be an indicator of stress. Do like Lija said and post the Trouble in the Enclosure info

I've posted the trouble in the enclosure thing a few times already and I'm kind of preoccupied at the moment. But, as a generality, he gets clean water whenever he isn't in it, he feeds readily, and the temp may be a little low sometimes.

He does have 3 sides of jungle wrap around the tank and a plant. However, he usually starts his headbutting routine by first going after the back panel which is covered (can't see reflection).

As long as this is "mostly normal" and not a sign of something more serious, I'll be okay. He just worries me when I hear him going to town late at night.

usually they do that when they want to get out of something, they pooped or the substrate is too dirty or something is off. or they're really mad but in that case they don't do it constantly.

just read your other thread, i thought i remember something about Tucker, he had a lot of problems, his current behavior might be related. Have you fixed everything you were advised? i would still want to see current "trouble in the enclosure" answers.
