so i go to check my babies i seen one of my baby cornutas has a skin like film on bothe eyes. im thinking he poked his eyes on the plastic plant. i know have him in a quarantine enclosure (bare with damp paper towel and water bowl bothe dechlored ofcourse). what can i do? i cant afford to go to a vet.![]()
ima try the melafix treatment like mike said in the previouse post mine isnt as bad as that one but just dont want it getting worse. i hope the other guys frog with the eye problem aswell is doing better. i hate seeing one of my babies sick. i feel like a bad parent. i know they have med for pop eye for fish is it safe to use on frogs?
Try the melafix. If it does not work you should seek vet treatment. Do you have a photo?

Any kid can get sick, even having the best, most nurturing parentsmelafix is excellent, just make sure you dilute it with water as per instructions

Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Hope the melafix works
Can you put up closeups of the eyes? It just seems odd that the frog would injure both eyes on a fake plant at the same time like that... May be a good idea to deep clean the tank before putting him back in it just to be safe.
Thanks everyone its going to stay in quarantine till its back 100% ima try to get pix before i do the treatment.
Make sure to keep feeding him. They need their energy. I know it seems like common sense, but I was so preoccupied with medicating my peppermint that I think I waited 2 days too long before going back to feeding. any bad smell from your quarantine tank when you go to change the water? I would change the water/papertowel twice a day.

Does he look like he's having trouble holding himself up with his front arms? It may just be the picture but he looks kind of splayed out...
Just keep it on clean substrate and do the treatment everyday. The previous bedding may have caused it. As long as its eating it should be ok
