    Default Meet My Frogs

Hello everyone, let me show you my pacman frogs and their setup

This is the frog that started it all Fatisha. I couldn't stop after one frog. Ive had frogs in the past but I haven't had much luck with them; they usually got sick and died. However I have learned a lot and I think I've read everything about pacman frogs i can find. After I learned to care for one frog I got another one.

This is the second frog i got Fatisha-2. This frog doesn't want to eat on his own so I have to force feed him, theres not much else to say about this one, he just sits in one spot all day and never moves. He is about 2.5-3inches.

If you haven't guessed already this is fatisha-3. I decided my third frog had to be special so i got a lime green albino. I love lime green albinos they have such nice colors. He is still a baby maybe an inch long.

Since I was getting so many frogs i decided to build a rack to hold them all. I looked online for affordable racks but there was none so, I just got something from ikea and jazzed it up. It can only hold 8 frogs but, now I have an excuse to get more frogs.

Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

I agree with the frog addition. I have 14 pacs now and have one rack from Reptile Basics that holds 8 tubs ... just ordered a second one. I find the rack and tubs much better to keep the pacs in than tanks with heat pads and lights as far as keeping the environment stable and suitable, not to mention space saving.

Im planning on getting 8 frogs I already know their names, one of the ikea tubs broke when i was drilling a hole in it... Funny thing about those tubs, the rack is in my room and, the tub lids don't fit on tightly so my two older frogs both leaped out of there tubs onto the floor in the middle of the night and made a loud bang luckily they weren't harmed. I now put a stuffed animal to hold them in but I'm thinking of switching tubs.

Nice looking frogs and setup you got there . I have mine in a rack too . I find it to be easier to keep stable temperature and humidity in the rack than in an aquarium .

    thanks,
I used to have my big guy in an aquarium and the humdity wouldnt hold. In the tubs I just spray them 30 seconds once a day im not really sure if it is 80% humidity. The temperature is a solid 80 near the heat tape and it cools to 73 towards the front.

I use books to keep the lids on my snakes' tanks on correctly. lol unless you have really heavy stuffed animals.

Looking at your picture a little better move the shelf up a hole or two until you can slide the tub in and out without the lids or with the lids if you prefer . Then you wont need bricks , legos , stuffed animals , or what ever else can be placed on top .

I thought of that already. I built it stupidly the heat tape is in akward positions so moving it wouldnt be wise. im just gonna look for some tubs with locking lids, any recommendations? I also keep my frogs on coco fiber but thats really messy if I get new tubs i might switch them to foam.

(Quote)did you go to the white plains Show?(Quote) I don't know how to quote two posts as you can see, I didn't go to the white plains show. I did buy my lime green albino from you though, I'm Michael.
