It was almost a year ago and I still can't get the image out of my head. It was traumatizing for me, but obviously more traumatizing for the toad. I can accept that things attack and/or eat other things in the wild and I don't even mind seeing it happen but I prefer the suffering to be at a minimum.
My head gave me an image, so I understand. I was happily going through the post, marveling and giggling at the funny parts, then... oh. I guess that's life summed up. Amazing pictures. Sorry you had to see what you did while getting them. :/ But I can go through the post again and again and get the same joy out of it.
I'm so looking forward to Spring/Summer and going down to the pond to see what I can see. Not to grab anything, just to look. Discovered there was a nature trail right there last Fall, with stick huts something made. One had a hat.![]()
