I was at the vets for the first time today (luckily found an exotics one less than an hour away ); hopefully just routine fecal tests.
Anyway, I was asked how old my frog was. I said 10 months since we've had him and his tank-buddy for 8 and I remember there being some mention of 'several weeks old' when we were sold them. But, is there an ageing convention for frogs and toads, I mean is 'zero' when they are laid as eggs, when they hatch, when they're froglets or ? It's not as easy as for us mammals! Maybe there's not a hard and fast rule, but it seems that the length of the whole egg -> frog process differs a lot between species.
