Unless you are bowl or tong feeding. I would skip on the sphagnum. When those guys get larger, they will try to eat anything that is in their way of their food. Voracious is an understatement, to say the least....lol

These guys won't tong feed, they don't realize it's food :P

I put them in a feeding tub and drop crickets in there for them and let them go nuts (within reason of course). I'm not really a big fan of the bowl feeding to be honest if you keep multiple frogs in one tank, I like to know how much each frog is eating and how often. I'm pretty anal about things like that haha.

I guess my main concern regarding the moss was if it was harmful at all to the frogs, as I haven't really heard of anyone using it in their tree frogs' viv.

The viv has now been sterilized up the the wazoo, and I'm leaving to aerate and dry tonight before putting all the stuff together tomorrow

    Thanks for your advice!

I absolutely love the photo of the frog looking out the glass. That is adorable.

I'm not a big fan of feeding them in a separate tub. I believe moving them constantly stresses them out. I rarely ever handle my frogs. I don't use the bowl of tong method, i just drop the crickets in and let the killers go at it. Lol if you are feeding them separately though, the sphagnum should cause no problems. The main reason we don't use it is a preventative measure against them accidentally swallowing some. It's not harmful to them in any other way but that.
