You cause use raw meat in a pinch, but it's really not good to use consistently. Remember, they get all the nutrition from the organs and bones, which is obviously not in cuts of meat.

Also, there is no nutritional difference between raw and cooked meat (debated yes), so boiling it at least will take away the risk of your frog getting a ranavirus or worms.

Chicken Livers can be used if you absolutely have to, but they should be boiled first. The liver is the most nutritious part of any animal because all things of nutritional value must pass through it. Don't make a habit of feeding these kinds of foods to your frog if ever at all.

I just read that thread today actually. It's in the Toads forum. I personally would not feed any type of raw or even cooked meat to my amphibians.

edit: Surinam Toads/African Bullfrogs - Reptile Forums

    That's the thread.

Dude! I was checking out my male today and he's got some big @$$ legs. If he lives past 20 I'm eating him....

BTW, I just want to reiterate something. Frogs should not eat ham, spaghetti, sausage, etc....lol.

    who gets it???
