I know you have probably had this question a lot before, but I'm in need of a silicone for my upcoming project. I looked for GE I and II on the Home Depot website, and the two I found (bath & sink I believe it's called, window & door) both are mildew/mold resistant. The ones I looked at were the smaller tubes, maybe 3 oz or so, but I assume the larger tubes are the same.
But I did find this silicone, it's 100% silicone and NOT mildew/mold resistant.
GE 2.8 oz. Silicone Sealant-GE-57 at The Home Depot
I only need a small amount for the project I'm doing, and this seems perfect. I just wanted to see if anyone else has used this or thinks it's safe.
Edit: Just read this, silly me I didn't see it, "... is ideal for marine applications above the water line..." I'm guessing that means aquarium safe? Or is it only for out of water application?
Thanks!
I keep a tube of that around at all times for small stuff. It's great for when you don't need a whole tube
