    Default fire belly skin problem

As I said in my last post, I have had my 5 fire bellies for about 3 months. They are in a 40 gallon tank (this 40 gallon is about 18 inches tall, about 30 inches long, and about 12 inches wide) , it has about 4.5 inches of spring water. I am using medium sized aquarium rocks that I have built up for land on one side. they have a waterfall filter, and on top of that i am using coconut fiber and terrarium moss. They have many live plants, no fake ones. Because they do not require any special lighting, I am using a grow light for the plants, this is on top of the tank. There tank usually stays at about 65 degrees and 50% humidity. They are being measured by guages I bought from petco. I feed them mostly crickets. Lately, I have been feeding them meal worms instead of crickets every other day. When I feed them crickets, I also dust them with calcuim with D3.

My question is, by feeding them 1-2 worms or crickets a day, am I feeding them too much? I know many people only feed them every other day. However, when I feed them they always act hungry. I know they could eat more than what I feed them, but I don't want to over feed them. When I went back to petco, I noticed their fire bellies were smaller and usually they are imported adults. I also noticed they were darker green. I feed their crickets carrots to keep their bellies bright. Is their anything i could do to keep their green dark?

    I appreciate any help!

You could offer more if you like, but I would stop with the meal worms. Their chitin is difficult for frogs to digest and can cause an impaction, but you can offer the freshly molted worms with no ill affects.

These frogs do come in a few varying colors from bright to dark.

Chunks of earthworm are an excellent food for any frog.
