I've had a burgundy Ficus elastica in one of my vivariums for at least a couple of years now. It's maybe grown a couple of inches. With low enough light and sub tropical temperatures and no effort to feed them, they will grow extremely slow. In brighter and warmer conditions indoors, they can get several feet.
