Hi all,
I have a terrarium with water at the bottom with a pump. The pump has suddenly started making foamy bubbles when it hits the water. Is it soap? Or is it something else?
Thanks!
What do you mean by "when it hits the water"? Is the pump not submerged? A few more details would be very helpful. Maybe a pic of what you are trying to describe?

You are asking if its soap. Did you recently clean it out with soap or something or maybe buy the pump used? As Bill said more info and a pic can really help us to better understand the situation and help you out.
This same thing happened to me when i did my 95 gallon terrarium with a 3 tier waterfall..i changed out the water with distilled and was fine after that..good luck

If your frogs are going to ba bathing in the water then you do not want to use distilled. It can actually be harmful to the frogs. Distilled has no mineral or vitamin value and can actually leech the nutrients from your frog. Distilled should be really used for nothing other then misting.
They had multiple ponds for soaking.in dechlorinated water.waterfalls were only for display purpose
