Milky and moo tonight
Before I turned their light out
Hi frogmadmeg,
you have some cool frogs! And I really like the idea that you post photos and stories about their wellbeing.
I have a milk frog as well, Lumpy.
I hope you don't mind if I ask you some questions as you are a more experienced frog owner than me.![]()
So I would be interested how you feed your frogs? Do you just put the crickets in the vivarium and let milky and moo hunt them down? Or you use some feeding tray?
So far I just put the crickets in and let Lumpy hunt, but the crickets I got today look much smaller than I got last time (however i bought same size) and I am afraid if I just put them in the vivarium Lumpy won't find them. But I am not exactly sure how would it work with a feeding tray, how do you keep the crickets in it?
And my other question is that usually at what time your frogs start to get active? Lumpy seems to be a real nocturnal one who doesn't really move before 10-11pm.Just curious how other milks behave. I read some threads which suggests that some milks are much more active than mine.
Thanks in advance for the answers!
Hi,you have a very cute little froggie there and thank you
errm to be honest I've never heard of a feeding tray I put the crickets in at night time and let the two of mine hunt them like they would in the wild and to be pretty honest I'm sure your little frog will find them just fine
my two are totally different milky comes out in the day if I give them a real good spray where as moo doesn't really move during the day just sits in the leaves but both get active at night around 9 o'clock but I think it may just depend on the frog so don't worry about the timings that lumpy come out at night
hope I helped if you need any other help feel free to just pm

New clean tank today
Milky out exploring
Moo in the leaves hiding
Also ederi if you would like you can can always post pics and stuff on this thread about lumpy too![]()
some frogs come out earlier than other but by nature are nocturnal you can trick them by using lighting and getting the cycles right. When they are hungry they will find food. They can see tiny little movements and will be on to small insects straight away. If you get smaller than usual food just put more inyou'll get the hang of it once you are in the swing of things it gets easier.
HEY MEG! long time no speak how are they doing? and have they grown any?
