A question about administering the Panacur, if I may?

Do you simply dust the feeders with it or is there another method recommended? Also, how often? (I ask because I have several places where one can buy Panacur without visiting a vet and it's generally much cheaper, but I don't want to unknowingly under/over dose my frogs.)

Of course you may.
It's very tempting to do this. I understand that this can get very expensive.

Panacur-C is available ( ? 2 and 4 mg packets)
I have NO idea what Dr. Frye prescribes . Yes, you are right--- it could be very dangerous to under-treat!
There are several different parasitic infections a frog could have, as well. Especially if wild caught.

We read that panacur is safe? However, Panacur should not be used unless the frog has parasites.
To detect parasites the stool needs to be , microscopically, studied.
1- to detect the parasite
2- to determine which parasite it is
3- once determined - the proper dose and length of treatment can be prescribed, sometimes w/ an additional medication

My intention in creating this thread is to encouraged those of us who have frogs to be prepared.
Part of the preparation is to have have these medicines on hand.
Then, Dr Frye is just and email away!

Personally, my solution for fecal tests has been: I found a local vet that will do a fecal w/out my hauling in 9 tree frogs !
I have 4 in one tank and 5 in another. If one has signs and symptoms of could be a parasitic infection--I bring that frog's fecal.
Typically the hole tank is treated. I have brought in a what I thought was an infected fecal which turned out to be negative- twice ! Turned out the frog needed 14 days of metronidizole. So, If I had given the frog Panacur , what might have happened?

So, what I am saying is. I understand these medications very well. This is the reason, I would never take the liberty to suggest a dose of a prescription medication for a member's frog ( being left with the responsibility of the outcome- I would feel terrible if something happened !) I respect the fact that I am not a vet. Post #1 has a review of what you get from Dr Frye based on the kind of frog you keep. Once the investment is made, he is really happy to help ! This is not a wast of money in any way shape or form. We WILL ALL likely need it at some point. Our frogs sit in an enclosed, human monitored, human maintained, environment with lots of potential 'bugs' we are responsible for trying to avoid. Even with the very best intended care, sometimes things are unavoidable.
