Ok I am having an issue keeping the humidity up in my 55 gallon pixie frog tank. The temp is always around 78 give or take a degree depending on time of day, and humidity is tracked at top of tank and holds a 50ish until I spray then it shoots up 2 70 or 80 but always falls again. The husk is soaked and my Peabody seems very happy, he is active, eats great, and does his business n his pool every morning. I have cover covered 3/4 with plexi and bubbles n the water and spray few times a day...should I get a crane humidifier and make a fogger 4 the tank? Would it help much and if I do won't blowing cool mist drop the tanks temp? I'm up all night keepin an eye on the humidity and I'm geting tired lol any advice would b so helpful...Thanx![]()
get something to automatically monitor your humidity if you are worried. On the cheap side you can go with something simply like a Zoo Med Hygrotherm hooked up to a cool mist humidifier. If you want something with all the bells and whistles and want to pay a pretty penny check out the Ecozone Vivarium controller
Well I think I found the problem...the stupid cheap petco humidity gauge doesnt work...figures comen from petco...im headed out 4 new better model...I may sleep 2night!! lol
I got a better 1 and as soon as I put it in tank humidity shot up to perfect...thank god 1 less worry. I'm thinking as long as my frog is happy, active, and eating well I got nothing to worry about![]()
