new frog on the block

I have a frog living in the woodpile underneath my fireplace in the lounge. It has been croaking to me since October last year. I finally caught a glimpse of it last night when it jumped out onto the floor. It quickly disappeared behind the bookcase and I managed to get a photo of it. I would love to know what it is. I live next to a gorge with lots of indigenous trees and a stream at the bottom. Anyone know?

That looks like a toad or a Ranid to me... if you can, can you get us some photo's of it's nose/face?
