I would take him to a vet fast. It could be some sort of bacterial infection, have no idea.

Hopefully it's not a bone infection... That sounds like it could be very difficult to treat. Does it feel hard or squishy to the touch? If it's squishy it could be an infected cyst or something. The vet could drain that and give some antibiotics or something.

Bacterial infections (if that's what this is, I really don't know) can sometimes be unavoidable, but are often caused by housing that either stresses the frog and weakens its system or housing that is too wet and breeds bacteria. Can you give us some info on your setup/care/humidity/ect.?

A vet is your best option. Explain to them that you are short on cash. My vet bills for a single tree frog is usually around $130, including the cost of medicine.

When I took my Whites to the Vet, it only Cost me $65.
Then the second time it cost me $45.

Took him to vet today. Opened up the thing and found a parasite. A worm. They think he was not a captive bread. He gave him a shot and must go in weekly for more. He also gets zink oxcide on shot area. And yes I did spend all my money. But you do what you gota do. I will post a picture in a week when he regains strength. If any one has advice. Please share. Keep him in your prayers as it is still a provability he won't make it to shot 3.

Sorry for your frog and wish it fully recovers soon . You did the right thing . Getting nematodes (guess worm was probably that) under the skin with meds is pretty inneficient and usually requires surgery.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
